Hello! how are you today?
And what is it you're going to play?
Oh. I see. You did not look
Inside your assignment notebook.
Yes, that is what that book is for
Not just a place for you to draw.
Whence is thine giant sticky note?!
Oh, pearls of wisdom that I wrote
Alas! Somehow they fade from view
In neon, right in front of you.
I know that you just lost your place.
The notes aren't written on my face.
No, I won't tell you what to do!
I've taught you how to think it through.
I doubt I'll ever get much saner
Teaching you "The Entertainer"
And "Fur Elise" just one more time
May surely make me lose my mind.
And yet-you sit before me now
And play, and once again somehow
My heart lights up, I smile...it's true
I really do love what I do.
